I went to the New Appleby Library on Friday night to see the Burlington Authors Canada 150 display, which celebrates literature from the Burlington area. Shelves of books by authors such as Linwood Barclay, Lawrence Hill, Marni Jackson, Ian Hamilton, Jennifer Mook Sang, Sylvia McNicoll and so many more. I found it to be truly awe-inspiring.
As this is a mobile display, watch for its arrival at your local branch. It will be at a different location each month, until the end of the year. I’m so humbled and pleased to be a part of it. A huge thank you to all the organizers of this project. For more information: Burlington.ca/Canada 150.
I recently finished my second novel, “Full of Grace.” I already miss the characters. Which leads us nicely to this month’s quote…(:
“Many people hear voices when no-one is there. Some of them are called ‘mad’ and are shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day. Others are called ‘writers’ and they do pretty much the same thing.” Ray Bradbury
