Happy New Year to all!
I’ve put up a new children’s story, “Fearless Faith.” Can she conquer her one and only fear on her own?
You can also find some of my previously published photo haiga from Daily Haiga, Haiga Online and Failed Haiku, a Journal of English Senryu.
There’s a haiku on the Japanese poetry page too, recently published by Akitsu Quarterly. What a stunning journal!
I just received a copy of Bruce H. Feingold’s recently released book of beautiful and moving haiku, “old enough” published by Red Moon Press. A must read for anyone interested in the genre.
Just found out Daily Haiga will publish two more of my photo haiga. What an honour to start out the new writing year.
Although this isn’t about writing, it is about the arts, so I thought I’d share it with you. I cut it out of a magazine (Zoomer?) a while ago to put on my fridge. “After having her artistic dreams dashed in 1954, 101-year-old painter Carmen Herrara opens her first gallery show in New York.” Inspiration for us all!
“There are three rules for writing a novel. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.” W. Somerset Maugham
Love how you describe things. It would make a great picture book. Conquering your fears on your own. That’s how to do it.
Thanks, Judy! From your lips to an editor’s ear….(:
I agree with Karen…Can absolutely see this published. Would have been so fun to read to my children when they were small. Perhaps in time for any grandchildren??
Thanks, Fran! I’ve got others if any publishers are interested!! (:
lovely spunky character, that faith 🙂
Thanks, Jen! Can I say, I think so, too!
Loved your story Liz! I could see it illustrated and on a bookshelf!
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, Karen! Thanks for the kind words!
I have such a clear picture of Faith from your story!
Thanks, Marlene! Music to my ears. (:
Enjoyed the new post
Thanks, EJ! I appreciate you taking the time to comment!
love that photo poem “his heart …” so light and breezy 🙂
Funny, that’s exactly what the editor said when he chose it!
Happy it’s 2017 now, and I can look forward to the release of your new picture book, THIS year! Yay!
