Sshhh, Listen…

I read on an agent’s site this week, that 99% of submissions aren’t published. Listen carefully, the sound you hear may be my optimism wavering. (:
Today I’ll work on reminding myself that patience is a virtue! (There is a brief blurb about “A Path to the Lake” in a previous post.)

I’ve added one of my first short fiction pieces ever published, “Mary-Beth’s Decision”, on the short fiction page, a tanka ( tanka is a five line Japanese poem that means “short song”) on the Japanese poetry page, and on the children’s page “Sweet Dreams, Pumpkin Pie,” a cuddle up at bedtime read, for three to eight year olds.

“I dressed and went for a walk – determined not to return until I took in what Nature had to offer.” Raymond Carver, This Morning

  1. I always look forward to reading a poem by Elizabeth. It’s like I am able to instantly be placed in another time and space. Her effortless writing transports my soul, I don’t know how she does it, but her words impact me on a cellular level. Powerful stuff.

  2. Sweet Dreams, Pumpkin Pie is absolutely adorable and I laughed out loud while reading Dylan Floats a Book. Excellent work!
